As debuts go, Rupert's couldn't have been much better as he scored for Great Britain against Australia in a thrilling 4-4 draw at the start of the 2020 FIH Hockey Pro League.

His goal scoring exploits in a Great Britain shirt continued in 2021 as he netted four goals in four FIH Hockey Pro League matches at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre before also finding the target at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Rupert captained Wales at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, 2023 World Cup and 2023 EuroHockey Championships.

He most recently helped GB qualify for Paris 2024.

A strong, attacking player with a keen eye for goal, Rupert could have become a rugby player were in not for an injury sustained in his late teens that led to him focusing more on hockey.

Before joining the full-time programme Rupert was a teacher, while his sister Zoe also played for both England and Great Britain.
