A fine defender with fantastic distribution, Brendan has fast become a mainstay in the backlines for England and Great Britain since his international debut in 2017.

That led to his selection for the Great Britain team at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where he played a vital role as the team finished fifth, their joint-best result at an overseas Games since 1988.

He also experienced plenty of other success in his career too too, winning European and Commonwealth bronze medals with England as well as helping them to a silver medal at the 2018 Azlan Shah Cup.

That came the year after he helped GB win gold at the same tournament before he featured in every game of the 2019 FIH Hockey Pro League. Unfortunately Brendan sustained a serious knee injury in late 2019 but he fought back brilliantly and returned to the pitch to take on The Netherlands and Belgium in late 2020.

Brendan played in all of England's 2023 EuroHockey Championships matches and went onto play a pivotal role in GB qualifying for Paris.
