A very exciting player to watch, Phil has become one of the deadliest attacking threats in world hockey in recent years.
He shot to prominence in 2019, finishing as the joint-third highest scorer in the inaugural season of the FIH Hockey Pro League with nine goals in 16 games before producing an outrageous finish against Malaysia in the FIH Olympic Qualifiers. He also scored at the Tokyo Olympics, his first appearance at the Games.
However his quality had been known for a long time before, having made his international debut in 2013 and co-captaining both England and GB between 2017-2018.
Phil was then selected for the winning GB Squad that played in Argentina, where he played 3 out of 4 games and scored against Argentina and the Netherlands, helping them to go top of the table after the first mini-tournament.
Away from the pitch, Phil started his own hockey podcast with Brendan Creed in 2020 and also became a father for the first time in February 2021.
