Few athletes have enjoyed quite the whirlwind start to their international career that Fiona has as, within a 10 month period, she went from being a member of the GB EDP to an Olympic bronze medallist.

Fiona burst onto the international scene in late 2020 when she made her senior GB debut against The Netherlands in the FIH Hockey Pro League. Despite the magnitude of her opponents, the young defender was unfazed and helped the team - missing 10 players through injury - secure a creditable draw.

Having been rewarded with a full-time place on the programme in January 2021, she quickly established herself as a pivotal player in the GB set up and went on to win bronze at the Tokyo 2020 Games, just weeks after making her senior tournament debut with England at the 2021 EuroHockey Championships. In 2022 she won gold with England at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and also played in that summer's World Cup.

In December 2022, Fiona was selected to go and play in Argentina, where she played 3 out of 4 games and gained her 50 combined GB/Eng Caps.

The Durham University student also captained England's U18 team to bronze at the 2018 EuroHockey Youth Championships.
