Pearne-Webb joins elite band of women to reach 100 caps

Hollie Pearne-Webb reached the milestone of 100 Great Britain caps in Sunday evening's match with Argentina, becoming only the twelfth woman to hit a century of games in a Britain shirt.

Pearne-Webb has had an incredible career to date, entering the nation's consciousness with the winning shootout in the 2016 Olympic final in Rio.

She of course has a multitude of other medals to her name, and since becoming captain she led Britain to bronze at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, as well as an historic first Commonwealth Games gold with England earlier this summer - on top of bronze at the EuroHockey Championships with the English.

With a total of 12 major medals to her name, she remains one of the best defenders in the world and ranks as one of the most significant hockey players ever to represent Great Britain. She has played a key role in a golden era for British women's hockey, and long may it continue. At age 32 she still has plenty of hockey ahead of her.
