Craig Sieben Appointed Assistant Coach To Senior Men

Great Britain and England Hockey are pleased to announce the appointment of Craig Sieben as Assistant Coach to the men’s senior programme.

The 38-year-old comes to Britain with key experience at both club and international level. He most recently assisted Pinoke to second place in the men’s Dutch Hoofdeklasse, their first time reaching the play-offs in 80 years. Prior to that he assisted Dragons in Belgium to the men’s title in 2019.

He arrives in the UK from his most recent international role as assistant coach to the Canadian men’s team, helping them reach the Tokyo Olympic Games last year.

Born in South Africa, he also brings a wealth of experience in league hockey in his home country. At world level he has also assisted Canada’s women and the Austrian men’s national team.

Head Coach Paul Revington said: "Craig is an exciting addition to our current team of coaches. He will bring a unique set of strengths that I know will mix well with our existing coaching philosophy while at the same time will also stretch our thoughts on the game and how we keep improving."
