What Is Next For The Three Nations Squads?

Even though the Commonwealth Games have only just finished, there is still a lot of training to go for the three home nations before their next competition.

All the Women’s teams from the three nations are playing in two out of four of the Euro Hockey Championship Qualifiers over the weekend of the 24 of August. England and Wales Women are in the Qualifier A competition occurring in Durham where they will meet Croatia and Slovakia.

Scotland Women are in the Qualifier D competition where they will meet France, Switzerland and Austria in Dunkirk.

On the Men’s side, Scotland and Wales are also participating in the Qualifying rounds of the Men’s Euro Hockey Championships Summer 2023. They are both In Qualifier D occurring on the weekend of the 24th of August, where they will meet Switzerland and Gibraltar in Glasgow.

Only the team with the most points after all the matches have been played will take the qualification spot for the Men’s Euro Hockey Championships occurring in summer 2023.

England’s Men have already qualified for the Euro Hockey Championships in Summer 2023, so their next adventure will be in India at the World Cup occurring in January alongside Wales.

The Great Britain Squad will be making an appearance again in the FIH Pro League starting in October 2022, where they will take on teams such as Australia, Netherlands, Argentina, Germany, New Zealand and many more.
