Preview: How to watch GB in Argentina & key match info

Great Britain's men and women return to action for the first time in more than a year when they take on Argentina and the Netherlands in the FIH Pro League, starting on Tuesday 13 December.

The squads have four games each in Santiago del Estero as they begin their new Pro League campaign and play their first official matches since the Tokyo Olympic games last summer.

With up to nine Great Britain debutants and new Head Coaches for both teams since Tokyo, these games mark the start of an important new era. First up on Tuesday evening are the Dutch for both our women at 10pm UK time and then the men straight afterwards.

Women's Captain Holile Pearne-Webb is aiming to play her 100th game for Great Britain which would further cement her place as one of the greats of our sport. She is excited about coming together again as Great Britain following her own successful year with England, saying: "It's our first time in a GB shirt since Tokyo after a huge summer as our respective home nations, so it's good to be back together. It's our first step of the 18 months leading into the Paris Olympics, we are really excited and it's great to have Scotland and Wales back in the fold as well."

Teammate Hannah Martin commented: "With Argentina and the Dutch we're playing the top two in the world so we couldn't ask for a better challenge. It's a good time to test ourselves against the best, we're looking to compete and put in performances. We're only just back as GB so we are building, it'll be tough and quite hot too but a really good challenge!"

All of Britain's games are live on BT Sport. If you're not yet signed up, you get a Monthly Pass with no contract for £25.

Jacob Draper joins up with the men's squad after a hectic summer with Wales, as well as a World Cup on the horizon with his home nation. But first of all he can't wait to play in the hockey hotbed of Argentina. "I'm excited to get back playing as Great Britain, I've never been to Argentina and it's a brand new experience, I can't wait really! I've watched highlights of the most recent games over there and the crowd was unbelievable."

This is Britain's first set of games in the new 2022/23 Pro League season format, with a mini-tournament in Santiago del Estero involving three nations; Argentina, ourselves and the Dutch. Men's Head Coach Paul Revington said: "The format is a positive change, to go there and play two teams is something we're more accustomed to than individual games and doesn't take too much adjusting to, either for players or coaches.

"The challenge in going to Argentina is that they're one of the hardest teams in the world to play against at home and get a result! It's a challenge but an exciting one, all of our guys are incredibly excited to play there, they can't wait to experience the passion of the fans."
