GB Hockey seek player nominations for 2026 Elite Development Programme

Men’s GB Elite Development Programme

Great Britain Hockey are seeking player nominations from coaches for the 2026 GB Hockey Elite Development Programme Men’s programme incorporating the England under-21 squad and applications from high potential female athletes who wish to apply for the GB Elie Development Programme

Women’s GB Elite Development Programme

The delivery structure for the GB element of the women’s programme will continue as an individualised programme for 10-15 Great Britain players who show the potential to progress to GB senior international level in the next 1-4 years.  This is distinct to the England Under 21 women’s programme; although some players may be in both programmes.

Players will apply directly to be considered for the GB component.  More information can be found on the GB Hockey website.

To be eligible for nomination, players need to hold, or be eligible to hold, a British Passport and be over 18 on the 31 December 2024. The route to assessment for under 18 players is via their respective Home Nation age group programme. 

Please nominate those players who you genuinely feel can excel at international level and/or develop into medal winning Olympians of the future.
