Defender - Senior Men
One of the finest players of his generation, Adam was appointed as captain of England and Great Britain in 2019 and led the latter to their best overseas Olympic Games placing since 1988 as they finished in fifth.
It was a second Olympic Games for the defender, while he also appeared at three World Cups and won the 2009 EuroHockey Championships with England.
An ever reliable member of the squad on the pitch, Adam's impressive statistics show just how valuable he was to England and Great Britain across his 12 year international career. However he has been known to be slightly less reliable away from hockey - as an usher at George Pinner’s wedding, he didn’t turn up to the suit fitting and was nearly late to the ceremony itself!
Adam announced his retirement from international hockey shortly after the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
