Alastair Wilson

Alastair already has one Olympic Games under his belt having been part of the team that went to Beijing in 2008. He describes his biggest achievement to date as winning gold at the 2009 European Championships. He plays for Beeston and was part of the team that made the Euro Hockey League quarter finals for the last two years. Away from hockey Alastair has a famous other half in the shape of swimming superstar Fran Halsall. In June 2012 he was one of seven GB hockey athletes to pose for the centrefold of Cosmopolitan magazine as part of a campaign to raise awareness of prostate and testicular cancer for the charity, Everyman.
