Adam Dixon

One of the finest players of his generation, Adam was appointed as captain of England and Great Britain in 2019 and will hope to lead the latter to a first Olympic medal since Seoul ’88 when the team head to Tokyo in 2020.

A consistent performer, he has already guided Great Britain to impressive results against Australia and The Netherlands in the FIH Pro League and they will be hoping to build on them in the next few months.

Adam is only one of two members (the other being Ashley Jackson) of the team that famously won European gold in 2009 still playing internationally and has played in nearly every major tournament since, including two World Cups and Rio 2016.

While he may be reliable on the pitch, it can be claimed Adam is less so off it. As an usher at George Pinner’s wedding, he didn’t turn up to the suit fitting and was nearly late to the ceremony itself!
