Toshiba International October 2018

Toshiba International

The historic Great Britain Men's Olympic Hockey Gold medal at Seoul 1988 has been an iconic moment in British sporting history for many years.

Barry Davies’ legendary commentary line –  “Where were the Germans? But, frankly who cares!”  – also went down in history and players such as Sean Kerly became household names.

This October it’s the 30th Anniversary of the gold medal and to mark the occasion we’re hosting a 30th anniversary match on the 3 October as the Toshiba International sees Great Britain’s men take on Belgium, ranked no 3 in the World. Where are the Germans? Frankly who cares.

Tickets are now on sale to a night of world-class hockey and a large dose of Olympic nostalgia, with 1988 legends making guest appearances. The match is also new Head Coach Danny Kerry’s first match in charge of the team.

So join in the celebration – after the Vitality Hockey Women’s World Cup, hockey is the hottest ticket in town – don’t miss out on another brilliant night on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Tickets for this game will be on sale shortly - make sure you're signed up to the official ticketing newsletter for more details.
