What did the GB teams get up to on tour?

- Having spent the past three weeks on the other side of the world for their opening matches of the FIH Hockey Pro League against Australia and New Zealand, we took a look back at some of the highlights of what the athletes got up to on their tour.Teams aid Australian bushfire reliefStarting the tour with matches against Australia, the teams spent their rest day making a community visit to help raise money for the Australian bushfire relief. Also delivering several bags of handcrafted pouches knitted by UK Crafters which provide a shelter for young marsupials – including kangaroos, wallabies and koalas – who have been left orphaned and homeless as a result of the fires, our teams made their mark on more than just the hockey field.

They may have played numerous matches alongside each other both domestically for Holcombe and internationally for Wales, but fiancées Wilkinson and Jones enjoyed a special moment with their first run out together for GB.

Finishing the tour with both teams going unbeaten against New Zealand, there’s been plenty of positives to take from the performances as the teams head home before the next series of matches.
Thank you Australia & New Zealand. It’s been one hell of a trip ☺️
