- Great Britain were beaten by Australia in both matches of Saturday’s double header in Perth, which for the men was their first defeat in the FIH Pro League. We look back at the reaction and what’s been learned from the latest games. Both GB teams competitive despite defeatResults aside, plenty of positives could be taken from the weekend's matches. Despite not coming away with a victory, there were encouraging displays from both GB sides who matched their Australian counterparts for large parts but a failure to finish chances proved costly.
2-0 down, Tough one today, feels like a real opportunity missed, better defensive performance, but not clinical or incisive enough in final third. @GBHockey v Australia. Plaudits to @HockeyAustralia well organised, great event, excellently hosted @FIH_Hockey #ProLeague pic.twitter.com/uhktz6Xeah
