The inaugral GB Super League saw an average of 4.6 goals a game on the opening weekend at Peffermill in Edinburgh.

56 goals were seen, with a real 6-3 thriller being played out between the Pennine Pumas and the Wessex Leopards men.  The Pumas had a narrow 3-2 lead at half time, but the Leopards lept into action in the second half with four goals - three coming from England internationals Richard Mantell, Jonty Clarke and Ashley Jackson and one from the City of Peterborough's Gareth Andrew, the top scorer in the whole of the Slazenger England Hockey League in 06/07 with 49 goals.

The action will continue next weekend in Swansea and will conclude the following weekend in Manchester.
