GB stage remarkable comeback against Australia

Olympics 2012 James Tindall v Pakistan

Great Britain staged a dramatic and remarkable second half comeback to hold the world’s number one ranked side Australia to a 3-3 draw at the Riverbank Arena.

Goals from Jonty Clarke, Great Britain Captain Barry Middleton and James Tindall cancelled out strikes from Russell Ford (2) and Mark Knowles to send the home support into raptures.

With the home nation subsequently securing a vital point from tonight’s match, a win for Great Britain in their final Pool A match against Spain on Tuesday evening will ensure that the home nation qualifies for the semi-finals.
