Ashley was the Hockey Writers Club Higgins Youth Player of teh Year in 2006 and is the youngest member of the current squad. He made his international debut for England on 28 November 2006 and was part of the GB Youth squad that won the silver medal at the 2007 Australian Youth Olympic Festival. He was born in Chatham, Kent and now lives in West Mailing, also in Kent. Ashley is a hockey coach.
